Alan Jeffries, lead disc-jockey for Goodtimes Music, has been a Radio DJ in the area since the mid 60's. He has been a disc-jockey at local radio stations: WRQK, WCOG, WBAG, WLPM, WBIG, WXYW, WTOB, WAIR, WMDE, WZOO, Oldies 93 and Country Legends 98.3. He has been the voice, produced, and directed several special music radio programs such as "Home Cookin," a "Sounds Of The South" music show that aired on Sunday afternoons in the early 70's. The program was broadcast live from the Castaways Club on Arnold Street in Greensboro. He did a "Showcase of Hits" show on WBAG in the late 60's. During the early to mid 80's, Alan did a "Best of the Beach", Beach Music & the History of Beach Music radio show on WRQK radio. He has helped train many of the area's disc-jockey talents.Alan has made numerous appearances as a disc-jockey in local night clubs during the 70's and 80's such as the "Peli-Tech" at the Royal Villa, The "Mardi-Gras" on West Market Street, "Dadio's" on High Point Road, "The Castaways" on Arnold Street and in Myrtle Beach. Alan also made guest appearances on the "Top Dance" show on WUBC-TV during the mid 70's. |
Alan has performed at thousands of parties, dances, reunions, weddings, receptions, grand openings of businesses, and corporate functions. He is a master when it comes to mixing the music to please the crowd of people at each party or function. He knows the top songs of all types of music such as Beach Music, Oldies, Country, Disco, Motown, Jazz, Blues, Classics and how to blend these types of music together to make sure everyone has a good time. He is a skilled Karaoke Show Performer. He knows how to add just the right amount of Karaoke performances to a party to "spice it up", but not drag the party down with boring unskilled talent performances. In short...
